Troisième série de séminaire sur la première urbanisation en Iran/ Third Online Research Seminar Series on “Early Urbanization in Iran’

Poussés par le succès de la première et deuxième série des séminaires hebdomadaires sur la première urbanisation en Iran, les Universités de Padova, Paris et Lyon, Archéorient et la Société d’archéologie Iranienne ont organisé une troisième série/ Due to the importance and high interest in the subject,  the Universities of Paris,  Lyon and Padova,  in collaboration with Archeorient and the Society for Iranian Archaeology, have decided to organize the third series of these virtual seminars.

Cette troisième série commence ce lundi 3 mai et se termine le 14 Juin. Voici le programme/These seminars will be held on Mondays from 3rd May to 14h June 2021 via Zoom. Here, the program:

17th May, 2021. Dr. Roger Mathews (University of Reading; Professor of Near Eastern Archaeology) and Dr. Amy Richardson (Senior Researcher, MENTICA, University of Reading), “Counting, Sealing, writing in Iran, 10,000-300 BC: diachronic contextual approaches’”

24th May, 2021. Dr. Bertille Lyonnet (Director of Research Emeritus, UMR 7192, Paris), “The Oxus Civilization/BMAC: a recent overview”

31st May, 2021.  Dr. Nadezhda A. Dubova (Prof.in History, Dr.in Biology Head of the Center of Human Ecology Head of the Russian-Turkmen Margiana Expedition), “Types of burials and funeral rituals in the Bronze Age Margiana (by the data from Gonur depe)”

7th June, 2021. Hafiz Latifi (Ph.D Scholar, Department of Archaeology and Ancient, M.S. University of Baroda, India), “The Later Prehistoric Periods of Afghanistan: a general review”

14th June, 2021. Dr. Kamyar Abdi (Department of Archaeology, Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran), “Urban Behavior in Non-Urban Contexts: Looking Beyond the Childian Paradigm”
