Colloque Multisensory Approaches to Egyptian, Near Eastern and Aegean Bronze and Iron Age Palaces, Essen 2-3 juin 2025

Les 2 et 3 juin 2025, une conférence se tiendra à Essen (Allemagne) sur les perceptions multisensorielles provoquées par l’architecture en Grèce, Égypte et au Proche-Orient. Les études historiques récents commencent à comprendre l’importance des émotions et des sentiments dans les sociétés du passé. C’est ce que l’on appelle l’embodiment theory. Cette branche récente des études, liée à l’histoire culturelle, a ses racines dans les études de genre et dans l’agency theory. En réévaluant l’identité personnelle, les études du genre ont ouvert la voie à la recherche de ce qu’il y a de plus intime. De l’autre côté, l’agency theory reconnaît que les objets ont la capacité de nous émouvoir et de le faire pour chaque être humain d’une manière particulière.
